I am an Associate Professor of Economics at West Point, interested in understanding and improving workforce preparation and performance. My research explores how policies can develop skills, enhance worker performance, and clarify the impact of individual choices on these outcomes. West Point's unique environment has shaped my perspective on developing broad-based human capital for diverse challenges, influencing both my research and my “Leadership Economics” course. This course combines personnel and organizational economics, public choice theory, and a novel microeconomic model of decision-making to equip future leaders with essential skills.
